In this large kitchen, my clients had already done a face lift about 7 years ago (painting cabinets and changing up a few things) but now it was time to call in the big guns. They wanted a complete gut and re-do to create their ultimate dream kitchen. Not only did they want to demo the entire space, they gave me cart-blanche on the entire design! I was beyond excited when I received that news. 

I was excited when I found out my clients wanted to do a home gym renovation. With more and more people timid about going back to public gyms during COVID, I thought it would be the perfect time to show homeowners how to maximize their space so working out at home is possible.

Small spaces are always a design challenge, and the goal is to make even the smallest space look lofty and open. I recently partnered with Whirlpool Canada for a tiny footprint kitchen refresh, and I was tasked with creating a functional, efficient kitchen for a busy, growing family who loves to cook and entertain. 

Sometimes the best design decision is not to change things too much. Let me explain. I was recently working with a client who wanted to update her kitchen. She consulted with me to figure out how to spend her modest budget wisely while accomplishing a new look.

Let’s think outside of the box when it comes to our fireplace designs! We are accustom to seeing a standard mantle with a tile surround and either a picture or mirror above it. And we typically see fireplaces in traditional settings, like living rooms.

I love working on bedrooms. They come in all shapes and sizes so a cookie cutter approach doesn’t work, especially when the space is small and/or awkward. That sums up my spare room, which I was challenged with turning into a home away from home for three little girls under the age of six.

We had an overwhelming response when we launched the 5th Wheel Trailer at the Backyard Living Expo a few weeks ago. People had the chance to tour the space in person, gather ideas about small space living and lots of people shared their passion for minimalist living.

The living room was in fine shape but it was dated and tired looking especially since renovating my kitchen that was now open to the space, it was in need of some love.

There is nothing worse than a living room that is poorly laid out and/or lacking function. I recently re-formulated a family room so it is comfy, cozy and a room the family wants to gather in. 

As you may or may not know from my constant social media updates, I have been living through a massive kitchen renovation since September.  That means 3 months without water, counters, floors and more! Did I move out? NO

When I moved into my home four years ago, I didn’t like the kitchen. I knew a full renovation would be required but it wasn’t in the budget right then. Instead I gave the kitchen a facelift until I could really do what I wanted with it. 

A baby’s room needs to be fun and playful, but also a place they can grow into. For this baby boy’s nursery I kept longevity in mind, creating a space that would take him from toddler to teen with minimal updates. 

As a city dweller in a small space myself, I love the challenge of making useful spaces in my client’s homes. For this space, I worked with Digital Influencer and radio personality Taylor Kaye. 

Canadian summers are short, but that doesn't mean you can’t enjoy the months that you have. I took inspiration from a warmer climate, California, to transform a patio into an LA style getaway in the middle of Toronto.

I have worked on many office spaces but was super excited to tackle this one, as it was more male oriented and a completely different space than I was accustomed to working with.
