Let’s think outside of the box when it comes to our fireplace designs! We are accustom to seeing a standard mantle with a tile surround and either a picture or mirror above it. And we typically see fireplaces in traditional settings, like living rooms.
There are so many places an electric fireplace can be added to give warmth and style to a space! Check out a few of the areas I’ve placed them and how I styled them for a little inspiration for your next project.
I love the ambience that a fire presents in a space. Previously in my space I had a gas fireplace that would heat up the room I was in when it was on, but it would freeze out the rest of the house. When I worked on my living room renovation I decided to take out my gas unit and I opted for a Dimplex electric fireplace.
The electric fireplace insert allowed me to eliminate the mantel and still have the TV above. The other great part of the electric insert I used was that it slid right into the existing opening from the gas insert, which made it easy to install and kept the cost down on labour.
