I’ll say it openly — I am completely in love with Smeg.
I use Smeg in my own home, so when I had the incredible opportunity to stage and style the Grand Prize Show Home for the Princess Margaret Lottery, I was beyond excited to incorporate a brand I genuinely adore. For me, design is always about authenticity. I don’t specify pieces just because they look good — I choose brands I trust, use, and stand behind.
Smeg was a natural fit.
Kitchen & Servery: Where Style Meets Performance
In the heart of the home — the kitchen and servery — Smeg’s high-end countertop appliances and iconic retro refrigerators delivered both performance and personality. These pieces aren’t just functional; they’re statement-makers.
Their timeless European aesthetic added a bold yet sophisticated layer to the space. The clean lines, sculptural curves, and signature finishes brought warmth and character to the cabinetry palette. In a show home, every detail matters — and Smeg gave us that perfect balance of luxury and approachability.

Indoor/Outdoor BBQ Area
Continuity in design was important to me, so we carried Smeg into the indoor/outdoor BBQ area as well. Entertaining spaces should feel cohesive, and incorporating the same level of elevated style outdoors ensured the experience flowed seamlessly from inside to out. Even in a casual grilling environment, the design still felt intentional and refined.

Upstairs Coffee Bar & Library
One of my favorite moments in the home was the upstairs coffee bar tucked into the library lounge. This space was designed to feel cozy, layered, and slightly indulgent — the kind of place you escape to with a book on a Sunday morning. Incorporating Smeg here made the space feel curated and complete. It turned a simple coffee station into a design feature.

Media Room Candy Station
And because no dream home is complete without a little fun, we also used Smeg in the media room at the candy station. Even in a playful space, the design remained elevated. The appliances added that pop of personality while still feeling polished — proof that great design can be both sophisticated and joyful.

For me, Smeg represents that perfect marriage of beauty and function. It’s nostalgic yet modern, bold yet timeless. Being able to weave it throughout the Princess Margaret Grand Prize Show Home made the design feel layered, intentional, and truly lived-in — even before anyone moved in.
When you love a brand personally and professionally, it shows. And in this home, it absolutely shines. ✨
