White Oak Bowl
One of kind gorgeous white oak bowl with weathering caused by 75+ years as a bridge from the family farm near Chatham, Ont. I named this piece “Uncle Silas” as it once served as their bridge over a creek. Dense and heavy with rich golden and light brown colours. The rim was made wide to show off the many years of weathering. One see through branch inclusion and the top being uneven makes this piece very unique. White oak is known for its strength and rot resistance properties, hence, used in the ship building industry for many years.
