A Boy's Nursery
I have worked on many office spaces but was super excited to tackle this one, as it was more male oriented and a completely different space than I was accustomed to working with. This room was the place where “things went to die”, as my client said. Old furniture, boxes, books, and anything else they couldn’t let go of. I was overjoyed with results of this clean, masculine office.
Black and White Small Bathroom.
Who doesn't need a little more drama in their life, well this bathroom sure does pack a punch now. Once blah and dated it's now moody and sophisticated.

Canadian summers are short, but that doesn't mean you can’t enjoy the months that you have. I took inspiration from a warmer climate, California, to transform a patio into an LA style getaway in the middle of Toronto.
Bright and airy cottage living screams relaxations at its finest. Keeping it clean and simple created this one dingy dark room into an inviting space for all.
In a small space I love to go big on colour. For this table setting, I used bright and bold patterns from Home Sense that were mixed and matched to create this gorgeous brunch setting. Setting the table is certainly a time where you can bring in bold colours and really make a statement.
Lightened Up Office Space
Man Cave with a Family Twist . . .
The man cave, typically known as the guy's sports room, where beer can be spilled, walls can be covered in tacky sports collectables and a game can be playing all day.
However those times have changed and the man cave has transformed into more of a family orientated room with the flare of the man of the house within the design.

Laundry Room Makeover:
The laundry room cycles through messy household clothing and towels, and cleans them up time and time again. In addition to being the place to do laundry and store cleaning supplies, many households also have their laundry room act as a mudroom; a place to drop off school bags, shoes, and jackets. The laundry room gets a lot of wear-and-tear, but is often the most neglected room, design-wise! ell not this laundry room, it is now stylish and functional.
Cottage Basement that Rocks
Adding a bit of character and dimension to a boring cottage basement with the natural landscape given as the perfect backdrop to a design that rocks! This now family friendly basement is a place that everyone can enjoy all year round.
The incorporated colours allowed me to use a non-typical colour for a girl’s crib and dresser – a misty grey Fisher Price Lakeland Crib from Sears. I loved how that out of the ordinary colour worked so perfectly in this setting. I selected a matching grey dresser with a change pad on top for multi-functionality and to ensure its longevity; being used now and as the child grows.
You spend a third of your day in your bedroom. It should be a relaxing place you enjoy spending time in. Bedroom Makeover project complete . . .
Hip Home Office
Full story and more images in the October's Chatelaine's issue! Think of your home office as an extension of the rest of the house, and use those same design principles you have used throughout. For example the importance of accent lighting, the warmth of textures, the completeness of accessories, the joy of colour and the most important part, the functionality of your furniture pieces. Keep in mind your home office should be an important part of your home since it is the room you make a living in!
Electic Twist Of Fun
A newly renovated home in the Beach was given a dramatic eclectic makeover, with a conversational piece in each room.
With lots of space and the opportunity to really customize, we turned this once traditional home into a contemporary space outfitted in modern classics, luxurious finishes, and energetic accents of colour. Jo embraced the opportunity to experiment with a modern, eclectic palette that surrounds the home with youthful, family friendly style that will bring years of entertaining in.
Boys And Their Toys: A Boy's Bedroom
When designing a child’s room, you need to consider the room’s required furniture, plus storage and organizing systems. Add in a touch of fun design that the child can grow with, and you will have a room you’ll both love! It’s also great to include artwork they love or (even better!) have made themselves.
Play with textures and colours – don’t get stuck on the traditional. Allow smaller accessories to be the themed items so they can easily be changed and updated as your child grows.
Small Space Patio Makeover story that appeared in the Toronto Sun, Home Décor and Renovations, Home Trends Magazine, Global News Noon show and more . . .
This home in the sky was in need of a cool and modern design touch with an interesting twist to the mix. Very oddly shaped, Jo created a conversation any where you looked within the each room, making sure the view was the main focus throughout though.
A new condo was giving a clean and classic modern approach. Creating the right zones is always the trick in a small space, but the true challenge is making the space seem larger then it is. With a calm and soothing colour palette throughout this petite home became the place to entertain in.
